JAXPORT supports international business, marketing and logistics Career Academies at eight Northeast Florida high schools in Duval, Clay, St. Johns, Baker and Columbia counties.
JAXPORT employees serve as mentors for nearly 30 students at R.L. Brown Elementary and area high schools, including William M. Raines, Andrew Jackson and Jean Ribault high schools.
Duval County Public School students enrolled in 12th grade economics use a JAXPORT sponsored curriculum based in part on cargo and cruise activity at Jacksonville’s port.
JAXPORT sponsors volunteer programs to deliver books, toys and cheer to families during the holiday season.
Annually, JAXPORT leads hundreds of port tours and speaker presentations in the community to talk about the Port’s economic impact in our region.
JAXPORT partners with all of the multi-cultural organizations, businesses, alliances and chambers in Jacksonville.
JAXPORT serves as a key partner in the International Trade Certificate Program - Export Series, an export trade training class for small businesses. Since the program’s inception, nearly 150 business owners have been trained.
During its 2013 Charity Drive, JAXPORT employees and port partners contributed more than $60,000 to United Way of Northeast Florida and Community Health Charities.
