832nd Transportation Battalion holds change of command ceremony

Unit members of the 832nd Transportation Battalion gathered Tuesday at the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal to bid farewell to the Commander who has been their leader during his tenure. Lieutenant Colonel Onintza Regil replaces Lieutenant Cofield B. Hilburn who has served as Commander since May 2010. The soldiers and civilians of the 832nd Transportation Battalion carry out the battalion’s role as the Single Port Manager for Southern Command, coordinating the movement of Department of Defense cargo through all ports in Florida, Latin America and the Caribbean. LTC Onintza Regil has served in the Army for almost 26 years. In her new role as Commander, LTC Regil’s duties will include leading the personnel acting as the Single Port Manager for the Port of Blount Island, Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command.
