CEO Paul Anderson represents AAPA at Capitol Hill Ocean Week

CEO Paul Anderson represented the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) at Capitol Hill Ocean Week in Washington, D.C. on June 5, 2012. Anderson discussed U.S. ports’ economic impact and job creation, the importance of environmental stewardship, and the critical role that ports play in delivering cargo to American consumers. Secretary of Commerce John Bryson was the keynote speaker.
Other speakers included: Dr. Paul F. Johnston, Curator of Maritime History, Smithsonian Institution; Dr. Alan D. Thornhill, Chief Environmental Officer, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Department of the Interior; Dr. W. Jeffrey Bolster, Professor, History Department, University of New Hampshire; and Ted J. Balestreri, Chairman and CEO, Cannery Row Company.
