Enterprise Florida Inc. is a public-private partnership aimed at stimulating Florida’s economic development. By supplying Florida businesses with information regarding expansion and trade opportunities, Enterprise Florida supports diverse innovative industries vital to the state’s global competitiveness.
Enterprise Florida is planning an Export Sales Mission to Colombia for Florida manufacturers, distributors, exporters and service companies from August 9-14, 2010.
Colombia’s economic state is promising. With the second largest population in South America, Colombia has emerged as a key trade opportunity for the United States as a whole, but especially for the state of Florida and Jacksonville. Colombia is the fourth largest market for United States exports in the region and ranks as the third largest world market for Florida-made goods. Colombia was the No. 1 import trade lane for Jacksonville in 2009. The Export Sales Mission will provide Florida businesses with the opportunity to identify potential trade partners in Colombia.
Enterprise Florida is also organizing an event for the logistics industry of Mexico and Latin America called EXPO LOGISTICA 2010. This major event will be held in Mexico City from July 7-9, and will feature logistics solutions from more than 300 Mexican and international suppliers among 10,000 executives.
In addition to presenting the opportunity for businesses to showcase their products and services, Enterprise Florida’s Mexico Office will also assist Florida companies by scheduling appointments with potential distributors and providing logistical support, at no additional cost. This event will allow Florida businesses to establish the connectivity with foreign trade partners essential to its future economic strength.
