First panel announced for JAXPORT’s 2011 Logistics & Intermodal Conference

November 3, 2010

JAXPORT announced today the first of four panel sessions for the JAXPORT 2011 Logistics & Intermodal Conference, a panel entitled “The Future of Intermodal Transportation.” Three industry veterans will serve as panelists: Bill Clement, Vice President of Intermodal at CSX Corporation; Jeff Heller, AVP intermodal international for Norfolk Southern Corporation; and Hans Stig Moller, President of Bridge Terminal Transport. The panel will be moderated by Tony Chiarello, President of American Shipping Group.

Panelists will provide insight into intermodal challenges and opportunities as technology becomes increasingly innovative, budgets grow tighter, and customers demand more efficiency from their service providers.

All panels are scheduled for March 22, 2011 at the Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The other panels will address funding for U.S. transportation infrastructure; ideas to grow U.S. exports by reviving U.S. manufacturing; and innovations in ocean carrier customer service. Details on these three panels will be announced soon.

The conference kicks off with an evening cocktail reception on March 21, followed by the conference panels and keynote presentations on March 22, and concludes with the Norfolk Southern Golf Tournament on March 23 at the TPC Sawgrass Dye’s Valley Course.

Presented in partnership with American Shipper, the conference is sponsored by CSX; Norfolk Southern; AMPORTS; Holland & Knight; ICS Logistics; McGuireWoods; Horizon Lines; Jacksonville Cornerstone Regional Partnership; Moseley, Prichard, Parrish, Knight & Jones; Marks Gray; and Alliance Operating Services.

For registration or sponsorship information, visit www.jaxportconference.com or call JAXPORT at phone (904) 357-3047.
