JAXPORT Board of Directors makes unanimous choice for CEO

The Jacksonville Port Authority Board of Directors today unanimously voted to offer the position of JAXPORT Chief Executive Officer to senior maritime leader Brian W. Taylor. The board directed that contract negotiations open with Taylor immediately.
Taylor, a long-time Horizon Lines executive, is an accomplished sales and operations manager with a track record of building high-performance teams and leading complex organizations. He held high-profile positions of increasing responsibility throughout Horizon's business units during his tenure with the company.
Most recently, Taylor was Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations for New Breed Logistics in High Point, North Carolina.
Taylor has served around the world during his 30-year career and holds a Master of Business Administration in Economics and Financial Management from Concordia University in Montreal.
The JAXPORT Board of Directors conducted a national executive search to fill the vacant CEO position, culminating in today's unanimous selection.
