JAXPORT employees are volunteering to make a difference in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, an April event celebrating the lives of cancer survivors, remembering loved ones lost, and taking a stand to fight back against the disease.

As part of this year’s program, JAXPORT sold chance drawings for a $750 cruise voucher giveaway; the winner of the giveaway was Ali Hosein, Vice President of International Freight and Merchandising for Rooms To Go Furniture Corporation. Hosein made his donation while attending JAXPORT’s 2011 Logistics and Intermodal Conference in March.

Through this year’s program, more than $1,100 was donated to support the American Cancer Society’s research, patient support and cancer control programs. Thank you to everyone who gave to this tremendous cause.
