U.S. Congressman visits JAXPORT military cargo operation

U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw paid a visit to port facilities today to observe military cargo operations. JAXPORT CEO Paul Anderson, Chris May of PORTUS Stevedoring and Lieutenant Colonel Onintza Regil, Commander of the 832nd Transportation Battalion were on hand to discuss the importance of JAXPORT’s partnership with the military and call for continued support from the federal government for port projects. JAXPORT is one of 17 U.S. strategic military seaports. Military cargo adds to the positive economic impact and jobs generated  by the port. Congressman Crenshaw called the operation outstanding and a point of patriotic pride for the region.
