The Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) is structured as a modern corporation. JAXPORT's Board of Directors provides policy guidance for the organization. JAXPORT CEO Rick Ferrin leads a staff of about 150 employees, whom manage and market the port and plan for its improvement.

JAXPORT's staff work in a variety of areas, including terminal operations and security; cruise operations; planning and properties; construction and engineering; finance, administration, procurement, IT, government and external affairs, corporate communications and trade development and marketing.
