New container terminal talks reach milestone
March 28, 2008 -- JAXPORT and Hanjin Shipping Company LTD have taken another significant step towards development of a new 170-acre container terminal facility in Jacksonville, Fla. Following negotiations last week in Seoul, South Korea, the two sides signed a detailed development agreement. This agreement expands on the Memorandum of Understanding signed by JAXPORT and Hanjin in October 2007.

Jacksonville charities benefit from cruise industry donations
March 28, 2008 -- As recognized leaders in an industry known for creating fond memories as well as many economic opportunities for the state of Florida, the cruise industry is pleased to announce the awarding of $110,000 in charitable grants aimed at improving the quality of life and education programs in the greater Jacksonville area.
