The U.S. Coast Guard has officially reopened the Port of Jacksonville to all vessel traffic.

The JAXPORT community sends many thanks to USCG Sector Jacksonville and all of the area’s first responders for their dedicated service.

All JAXPORT gates and terminals are open.

The Port of Jacksonville is currently open to shallow water vessels 500 gross tons or less pending further assessment of harbor conditions by the U.S. Coast Guard. 

All other vessel traffic remains prohibited unless authorized by the Captain of the Port.

The U.S. Coast Guard will enforce a temporary safety zone for post-storm recovery operations and has issued the following port status update:

  • The Port of Jacksonville is now open to shallow water vessels 500 gross tons or less. All other vessels are prohibited unless specially authorized by the Captain of the Port.

JAXPORT gates and terminals are now open. The Port of Jacksonville remains closed to vessel traffic.

All JAXPORT offices and terminals remain closed today. The Port of Jacksonville remains in condition Zulu.

In preparation for Hurricane Irma, the U.S. Coast Guard has set Condition X-RAY for the Port of Jacksonville

All JAXPORT terminals will close at 11:59 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 8.

JAXPORT’s administrative offices are closed today through Monday, Sept. 11.

Cargo inquiries: Please check back when the port resumes normal operations following the storm or contact your vessel carrier directly.

JAXPORT employees: All non-mission essential personnel should plan to report back to work on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
