Cycle Up Supply Chain Services, a South Florida-based third party logistics provider, is expanding to Jacksonville, bringing new transportation and logistics options for shippers. Cycle Up recently signed a five-year lease on an 80,000 square-foot warehousing and distribution facility located near JAXPORT’s North Jacksonville Marine Terminals.

Cycle Up provides warehousing, pick and pack, and transloading services for a variety of cargo types shipped through JAXPORT. The facility brings new business to the port, including a number of Cycle Up’s existing customers, among them major online as well as brick and mortar retailers.

“A convenient geographic location, reduced inland transportation costs and increased backhaul opportunities all make Northeast Florida an ideal location for expansion,” said Tony Albanese, Cycle Up Managing Partner. “We are confident our customers will benefit from all the supply chain efficiencies Jacksonville offers.”

The expansion brings a capital investment of $1 million and creates 35 new, direct jobs according to the company. Cycle Up operates three other distribution centers around the nation.

“There’s no better testament to the advantages of JAXPORT than this,” said Eric Green, JAXPORT interim CEO. “We welcome Cycle Up to our already impressive supply chain network and we look forward to growing our businesses together.”

Located in the heart of the fast-growing Southeast U.S., JAXPORT offers rapid access to three major interstates (I-10, I-95 and I-75) and 36 daily train departures via CSX, Norfolk Southern and Florida East Coast Railway. The port offers worldwide cargo service from more than 40 ocean carriers, including direct service to Asia, Europe, Africa, South America, the Caribbean and other key markets.
