JAXPORT CEO Eric Green and Chief Operating Officer Fred Wong today enjoyed a SNEAK PEEK at a massive art installation in-progress at the port’s North Jacksonville Cruise Terminal.
Local artists - Shaun Thurston -Artist- and husband-and-wife duo Kate & Kenny Rouh (RouxArt) - are working on a unique paint and mosaic collaboration that will greet the nearly 200,000 cruise passengers that visit JAXPORT each year.
CEO Green met with both artists thanking them for their creative vision saying the art “will allow our visitors to get a taste of what our region is about: energy, vision and natural beauty.”
The art installation is just one of many terminal enhancements underway thanks to the recent historic long-term agreement between JAXPORT and Carnival Cruise Line to extend cruise service in Jacksonville for many years to come.
