Ground Transportation Services
Please be advised that a fee is required for all commercial vehicles carrying passengers out of the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal.
Tokenotes are now available for purchase at the terminal on cruise ship days between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. (see procedure for more information).
Taxis, Limos, Airport Shuttles, Vans, Hotel/Motel Courtesy Shuttles, etc.
The fee is $2.50 for each vehicle leaving the Cruise Terminal with a person or persons in the vehicle. A person is defined as anyone leaving the terminal: cruise ship passengers, visitors, employees, vendors, etc. This includes all passenger carrying vehicles with a vehicle capacity of 12 passengers or less: taxis, airport shuttles, limousines, vans, hotel/motel courtesy shuttles, etc.
Drop-offs will not pay a fee. All companies that have commercial vehicles dropping off passengers at the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal for regular cruise service will continue to enjoy free access.
On-demand taxi pickup service will be limited to the franchised taxi company contracted by JAXPORT. All other commercial vehicles can only access the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal to pick up prearranged passengers if they provide the name of the specific person(s) they are to pick up. (Any commercial vehicle can drop off passengers.)
Procedure:
- The left exit lane departing the Cruise Terminal will be the Pay Lane. It will be suitably marked and equipped with an automatic lift gate and a machine to receive Tokenotes.
- The Tokenotes can be purchased only at the Cruise Terminal and only on cruise ship days at the Tokenote Cashiers booth located adjacent to Gate 10. The Cashiers booth will be operational only between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on each cruise day, so drivers must plan ahead and purchase Tokenotes in advance of their needs.
- Vehicles leaving the Cruise Terminal with no persons on board will simply detour around the pay lane (no fee).
- Tokenotes purchased at the Jacksonville Airport will not work at the Cruise Terminal.
Buses and Motor Coaches
All commercial buses and motor coaches with a vehicle carrying capacity of 13 passengers or more will be assessed a fee of $50.00* when leaving the Terminal with passengers in the vehicle.
Drop-offs will not pay a fee. Only those vehicles exiting the Cruise Terminal with passengers in the vehicle will be required to pay the fee.
Procedure:
- When staging for passenger pick up in front of the Terminal a JAXPORT cashier will attend to each vehicle, accept payment and give a receipt. Cash and major credit cards will be accepted.
* Note: This fee will be waived if the bus or motor coach paid to park in the JAXPORT parking lot for the duration of the cruise. The driver would be required to show their paid parking receipt to the attendant who collects the fees.
