JAXPORT's three marine terminals can handle every type of general and project cargo. From bulk to containers to vehicles to breakbulk, JAXPORT handled 7.3 million tons in Fiscal Year 2009.
This tonnage included 754,352 container units (measured in 20-foot equivalent units, or TEUs), and 419,691 vehicles. Jacksonville now ranks among the top container ports in the United States and is one of the country's busiest vehicle handling ports. Among Florida's 14 ports, JAXPORT now ranks behind only Tampa and Port Everglades in total tonnage.
