​JAXPORT announced today it has received the 2017 Terminals and Ports Operator award from Automotive Global Awards North America.

Presented during a ceremony in New Orleans, the award recognizes JAXPORT for maintaining an outstanding collaboration with the port’s auto processors and ocean carriers, as well as its labor, rail and trucking partners.

Terminals and Ports Operator is one category in the Automotive Global Awards series of annual awards recognizing outstanding contributions to the automotive supply chain, purchasing and logistics sector.

Jacksonville is one of the nation’s busiest ports for total vehicle handling. The port moved more than 636,000 vehicles during fiscal year 2016 and is home to three major auto processors, offering processing facilities as close as 100 yards from ship berths.
