Say hello to Blount Island Crane Tech I Michael. 👋
Michael is a Jacksonville native and works hard to keep our equipment up and running and cargo moving – just one of the many jobs supported by a thriving seaport.
He recently escorted our Communications team on a behind-the-scenes tour of one of our 100-gauge container cranes. Stay tuned for more on that story!

It’s an annual JAXPORT tradition to recognize port employees who have served in the U.S. military with a special luncheon served by the port’s executive team.
“We are proud to provide jobs for area veterans as we contribute to the economic vitality of Northeast Florida,” said JAXPORT CEO Eric Green. “These individuals bring a level of dedication, integrity and dependability developed in the military that benefits our port, our customers and our community.”
Together, JAXPORT’s veterans have a combined total of 522 years of military service.

🇺🇸️ JAXPORT is proud of our employees who have served!
This is Nicholas, a U.S. Navy veteran who now works at our Blount Island Marine Terminal as a Crane Tech, keeping our equipment up and running, and cargo moving.
Did you know? More than a quarter of our employees are veterans representing all five branches of the U.S. military.
