As Incoming Chief Commercial Officer, Bobby Wein works alongside Chief Commercial Officer Robert Peek to attract and retain cargo business and strengthen relationships with ocean carriers, shippers, logistics providers and economic development partners.

Bobby has 30 years of commercial leadership experience spanning ocean carriers, cargo owners and marine terminal operations. Before joining JAXPORT, he served as Vice President–Commercial for SSA Marine’s Conventional Division where he led commercial strategy. His responsibilities included business development, customer retention, pricing and marketing across a diverse portfolio of cargo types and marine facilities.

His previous experience also includes business development and operational leadership roles with Millard Maritime, Norton Lilly International and Inchcape Shipping Services. He has worked across a broad range of cargo types including containers, automobiles and high-and-heavy RoRo, breakbulk, dry and liquid bulk, steel, forest products and project cargo. Throughout his career, he has helped develop new markets, strategic partnerships, acquisitions and joint ventures supporting cargo growth across North America and beyond.

Bobby holds a bachelor’s degree in aviation management from Auburn University.
