JAXPORT Credential

JAXPORT requires a business purpose credential accompanied by the federally mandated TWIC.  Commonly called a “JAXPORT badge,” the JAXPORT Business Purpose Credential is issued by the port free of charge. The JAXPORT badge is linked to your TWIC for port access.

Registering for a JAXPORT Business Purpose Credential

Complete and sign the JAXPORT Business Purpose Credential Registration Form. The form must be signed by an administrative officer of your employer or sponsor.

Bring your completed registration form along with the following documents to the Access Control Center:

Identification Document

The most common documents required to establish identity and employment eligibility are:

  • Government Issued ID (e.g. valid Driver’s License, State Identification card)
  • U.S. Passport
  • Alien Registration Card

TWIC or TWIC Receipt

  • A receipt is issued at the time of TWIC application. JAXPORT accepts the TWIC Receipt, in lieu of the TWIC, allowing up to thirty (30) days of escorted access before the TWIC arrives.*
  • Access will be terminated if the TWIC is not presented at the JAXPORT Access Control Center before or at the conclusion of the thirty (30) day period.

* Labor / personnel with security duties cannot be escorted; they must have a valid TWIC.

JAXPORT Business Purpose Credential Renewals

Upon receiving a renewed TWIC and PIN number, you must renew your JAXPORT Business Purpose Credential at JAXPORT Access Control.
