Robert Peek is the Director and General Manager of Business Development at the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT). He oversees all work to attract new cargo business to JAXPORT, directs the Authority’s sales, marketing and corporate communications efforts, and assists with passenger cruise development.
Robert has worked at JAXPORT since 1995, serving in a variety of roles, including as Director of Corporate Communications and Director of Marketing. He was appointed to his current General Manager role in 2019.
Robert has a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of North Florida. Robert also holds a Certification in Transportation and Logistics (CTL) from the American Society for Transportation and Logistics. He is a former board member of the North Florida District Export Council and past president of Jacksonville Sister Cities Association. He now serves in leadership positions for numerous public sector Boards and nonprofit organizations throughout Northeast Florida.
