Sheila Cox joined JAXPORT in 2021 as Director of National Container Accounts. She works to develop new and existing container cargo business with shippers and beneficial cargo owners throughout the United States.

Cox has more than 30 years of experience in nearly every facet of the Southeast US supply chain. She most recently served as Founder and Managing Director of Global Match, a Charleston, South Carolina-based third-party logistics provider. Prior to that, Cox held business development positions at the South Carolina Ports Authority, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), North Carolina State Ports Authority, and COSCO Shipping. She began her career serving as a freight forwarder, managing end-to-end ocean and air freight delivery.

In 2020, US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross appointed Cox to serve on the South Carolina District Export Council, which raises awareness of the positive impact that exporting has on the U.S. economy. She also previously served on the Executive Board of the Charlotte World Trade Association and on the Charlotte Global Visions Group steering committee.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Tennessee.
