JAXPORT remains open during coronavirus

Thursday, April 9, 2020

JAXPORT’s cargo terminals remain open with no restrictions.

NEW JAXPORT resources:

Because port tenants and operators establish their own operating hours at their gated facilities, shippers and BCOs are encouraged to contact tenants directly to confirm their specific operating hours.

Visitors to all primary JAXPORT facilities and office buildings will have their temperatures scanned using a no-touch forehead thermometer prior to entry. Anyone with a temperature higher than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit will not be permitted to enter, per guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The JAXPORT main administrative office located at 2831 Talleyrand Avenue is closed to visitors until further notice, with the exception of deliveries. Pick ups and drop offs are still being accepted. Administrative employees whose jobs can be performed remotely have been asked to telework.

JAXPORT is accommodating a total of four Florida-based cruise ships displaced by the cruise industry’s voluntary suspension of operations. The vessels include Carnival Ecstasy, which is normally homeported at JAXPORT, and three vessels operated by Norwegian Cruise Line.

The vessels will remain in port for about 30 days, with only crew members on board. Read more here.
