The Florida Times-Union Editorial Board today recognized JAXPORT, its partners and generous donors from Jacksonville’s business community for organizing a relief program delivering more than 500,000 pounds of supplies to the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Read the full column.

The relief program was made possible by the generous contributions of business leaders who raised nearly $75,000 to fund the shipment of 13 full-size shipping containers full of donated basics such as food, water, batteries and hygiene items from Jacksonville to San Juan.

The Port of Jacksonville is the No. 1 partner for commercial trade with Puerto Rico.
