JAXPORT employees donated more than $18,600 to support two local charities providing social and health services to the citizens of Northeast Florida during the 2020 JAXPORT Charity Drive.

The funds were raised by employee giving and will benefit the United Way of Northeast Florida and Creating Healthier Communities.

“This is remarkable generosity from our employees, particularly in the midst of a pandemic,” said JAXPORT Chairman Jamie Shelton. “Despite the challenges we all faced in 2020, JAXPORT employees continued to give back, making a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors in Northeast Florida at a time when the need is greater than usual.”

Both charities say the pandemic has increased the need for their services. JAXPORT has contributed more than $700,000 to these two charities since 2002.

JAXPORT also sponsors and participates in numerous Northeast Florida community outreach programs focused on education, the environment, supporting area small businesses, and workforce development. For more information visit JAXPORT.com/Community.
