The Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) will host its fourth annual Small Business Appreciation Day on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. The free event is open to all Northeast Florida small businesses and provides valuable education and resources.

During the event, experts will explore emerging forms of digital currency and shifts in consumer spending habits that are creating opportunities for small businesses in the modern marketplace. Nationally recognized diversity supplier expert Kathey Porter, best-selling author of the “50 billion dollar boss,” will also outline strategies for achieving business success through diversity and inclusion.

In addition, procurement leaders from around the region will participate in a roundtable discussion about current and future business opportunities at the port and other agencies throughout the City of Jacksonville.

“JAXPORT values the important role small businesses serve in the growth of Northeast Florida’s economy,” said JAXPORT CEO Eric Green. “As businesses adapt to new technology and workforce trends, we are pleased to provide free training, networking and resources tailored to the unique needs of our small business community.”
