JAXPORT leadership welcomed the Carnival Ecstasy on May 16 to Jacksonville for the vessel’s inaugural sailing with a commemorative plaque presentation at the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal in North Jacksonville.

Carnival Ecstasy, which carries 2,056 passengers, is now sailing year-round out of JAXPORT’s Cruise Terminal. The ship replaces the Carnival Elation, which was previously home-ported in Jacksonville and now operates from Port Canaveral, Florida.

The Carnival Ecstasy offers four-and five-day cruises to tropical destinations throughout the Bahamas, including Freeport, Nassau, Half Moon Cay and the private destination of Princess Cays. The ship also offers a special 7-day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean sailing in September 2019.
