Charles (Chuck) Ferry, a decorated U.S. Army veteran and President of global energy solutions provider APR Energy, will be the keynote speaker at JAXPORT’s 2019 Logistics & Intermodal Conference.

The conference will be held April 29 – May 1, 2019 at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort and Spa in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

Ferry has 35 years of military and private-sector leadership experience. He retired from the military in 2009 after serving five combat tours in Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq. During his nearly three decades in the service, he participated in numerous classified special operations, including the mission that inspired the 2001 film “Black Hawk Down.” As President of APR Energy, Ferry oversees 17 power plants and 800 workers around the world. The company has an annual revenue of $400 million and is known for providing fast and flexible power solutions.

Ferry’s keynote presentation is designed to inspire the senior-level transportation and logistics executives attending the JAXPORT Conference and will demonstrate how lessons learned on the battlefield create opportunities for success in the board room and beyond.

“I look forward to sharing how some of my memorable combat and career experiences have shaped my life and career,” Ferry said. “Inspiration for success can come from the most unlikely places, and the lessons I’ve learned throughout the years have inspired or influenced many of the forward-thinking business decisions our company is known for throughout the industry and the communities we serve.”

JAXPORT’s conference offers a unique opportunity to network with industry leaders featuring a series of panel discussions addressing challenges common to logistics and intermodal decision makers. Panelists include senior executives from major ocean carriers, railroads, shippers and service providers from around the country.

Space is limited, registration is required and all previous JAXPORT Logistics & Intermodal Conferences have sold out.
