Nov. 11, 2022 – 10 a.m.

The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port will lift Hurricane Port Condition ZULU for the Port of Jacksonville effective 10 a.m. today, Friday, Nov. 11. The Port of Jacksonville’s harbor is open with no restrictions. JAXPORT has resumed normal holiday operations.

Nov. 11, 2022 – 6:30 a.m.

JAXPORT’s main gates are open. Because port tenants establish their own hours and their gated facilities, truck drivers looking to pick up or drop off a load are encouraged to contact their terminal operator directly to confirm their specific hours of operation. Nov. 10, 2022 – 3:30 p.m.

JAXPORT will reopen our gates to JAXPORT tenants at 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 (Veterans Day). Truck drivers looking to pick up or drop off a load should contact their terminal operator directly to determine their specific operating hours on Friday.

Nov. 10, 2022 – 8 a.m.

JAXPORT is closed due to Nicole. The port remains under U.S. Coast Guard Hurricane Port Condition ZULU.

Once the storm passes, JAXPORT plans to reopen gates at the regular time (6:30 a.m.) on Friday, Nov. 11 (Veterans Day), for tenants to conduct assessments and begin normal holiday operations. This reopening time is subject to the storm moving through without significant damage and approval from the U.S. Coast Guard.

JAXPORT gates are closed as of 5 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9. The port remains under U.S. Coast Guard Hurricane Port Condition ZULU.

Once the storm passes, JAXPORT plans to reopen gates to landside operations at the regular time (6:30 a.m.) on Friday, Nov. 11 (Veterans Day), so tenants can conduct assessments and begin normal holiday operations. Nov. 9, 2022 – 11 a.m.

CBP has advised that due to storm preparations, RPMs will be unavailable as of 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 9. All cargo that normally uses RPMs will not be able to depart after 2 p.m. today. Inbound traffic can continue until 3 p.m. today. At 5 p.m. today, all cargo operations must stop and the gates will fully close.

JAXPORT plans to reopen gates to landside operations at the regular time (6:30 a.m.) on Friday, Nov. 11 (Veterans Day), so tenants can conduct assessments and begin normal holiday operations. This reopening time is subject to the storm moving through without significant damage and approval from the U.S. Coast Guard.

Following the storm, JAXPORT will reopen to waterside operations once the USCG lifts condition ZULU and equipment has been positioned for operations.

The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Captain of the Port for Sector Jacksonville set Hurricane Port Condition ZULU for the Port of Jacksonville effective 8 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9.

JAXPORT plans for gates to be open to inbound traffic until 3 p.m., Wednesday, with the terminals fully closing at 5 p.m., pending weather and other considerations.

JAXPORT anticipates being closed on Thursday and running a normal holiday schedule on Friday, pending approval from the USCG. However, this information is subject to change based on the storm’s track.

Nov. 8, 2022 – 5:30 p.m.

The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port for Sector Jacksonville will set Hurricane Port Condition YANKEE effective 8 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, Nov. 8, followed by Port Condition ZULU at 8 a.m. Wednesday morning. The port is currently open and operational.

JAXPORT plans for gates to be open to inbound traffic until 3 p.m., Wednesday, with the terminals fully closing at 5 p.m., pending weather and other considerations. JAXPORT will be closed on Thursday and run a normal holiday schedule on Friday, pending approval from the U.S. Coast Guard.

Nov. 8, 2022 – 10:30 a.m.

JAXPORT continues to closely monitor Tropical Storm Nicole. The U.S. Coast Guard Captain of the Port for Sector Jacksonville will set Hurricane Port Condition X-RAY as of noon today, Tuesday, November 8.

Under X-RAY, winds of 40 MPH or greater are possible within 48 hours. JAXPORT facilities are open and operational as we continue to monitor the storm. We will continue to provide information as it is made available.

Nov. 7, 2022 – 3 p.m.

JAXPORT is closely monitoring Nicole. The USCG Captain of the Port for Sector Jacksonville has set Hurricane Port Condition WHISKEY as of 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7. Destructive winds of 40 MPH or greater are possible within 72 hours. 

JAXPORT is open with no restrictions. Further updates will be posted here as they become available.
