GENERAL SUMMARY:  The Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) is seeking a qualified and licensed company to provide monthly inspections and treatment control of AQUATIC PLANT, ALGAE & NUISANCE VEGETATION CONTROL SERVICES.  Services to be performed under this contract must include all cost associated with labor, equipment, materials, and any other similar charges as required to provide monthly inspections and treatment to control the growth of algae, submerged, floating, emerged and emergent nuisance species to include cattails, border grass and brush control to water’s edge for twenty-one (21) JAXPORT Stormwater Ponds: twelve (12) located at Blount Island Marine Terminal (BIMT); eight (8) located at Dames Point Marine Terminal (DPMT); and one (1) located at Talleyrand Marine Terminal (TMT). Additionally, monthly inspections and treatment for nuisance species are to be conducted at two (2) shallow drainage ditches associated with TMT properties (See Site Maps 1-3 – Attachment #1).  Initial period will be for one (1) year from August 1, 2023 and may be extended for up to four (4) additional one-year (1) period, based on vendor performance and adherence to prices, terms and conditions. Therefore, the purpose of this Request for Quote (RFQ) is to request information about your company’s abilities to provide these services exactly as specified and to obtain a pricing commitment.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE & OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:  will be held on FRIDAY, JUNE 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM (EST), via ZOOM Meeting under MEETING ID: 837 6226 4429 and PASSCODE NO: 374393. Attendance by a representative of each prospective bidder is encouraged.
