JAXPORT is a full-service, international trade seaport at the crossroads of the nation’s rail and highway network in Northeast Florida, heart of the South Atlantic.

The port owns, maintains and markets three cargo terminals, an intermodal container transfer terminal and a passenger cruise terminal along the St. Johns River.

JAXPORT is Florida’s largest container port, one of the nation’s busiest vehicle-handling ports and is recognized throughout the industry for award-winning customer service.

GLOBAL SHIPPING OPTIONS

The port offers worldwide cargo service from dozens of ocean carriers, including direct service with Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South America, the Caribbean and other key markets.

NOW DEEPENING

The federal project to deepen the Jacksonville shipping channel to 47 feet will offer the largest container ships calling on the U.S. East Coast unobstructed access to the port’s terminals.

INCREASED CAPACITY

Containers: JAXPORT now offers expanded options to Asia with service from the world’s three largest ocean carrier alliances: Ocean Alliance, THE Alliance and 2M.

Autos: An additional, dedicated auto terminal under construction will expand vehicle-handling capacity by 25 percent.

CARGO DIVERSITY

JAXPORT and its maritime partners handle a variety of cargo including containers, automobiles, Ro/Ro (recreational boats and construction equipment), dry and liquid bulks, breakbulk, oversized, heavy lift, military and specialty cargoes.

INTERMODAL OPTIONS

JAXPORT’s connections include three U.S. interstates (I-10, I-95 and I-75), and 40 daily train departures via CSX, Norfolk Southern, and Florida East Coast Railway. JAXPORT’s Intermodal Container Transfer Facility allows for direct transfer of containers between vessels and trains.

FAST REACH

Florida is the nation’s third most populous state in the fastest growing region of the nation, and more than 70 million consumers live within a one-day truck drive of JAXPORT.  Jacksonville is also home to the widest shipping channel in the Southeast U.S., wide enough for two ships to pass at the same time.

HEAVY LIFT

JAXPORT is home to one of the nation’s highest capacity weight-bearing docks and has the highest and widest cargo clearance available for port access by rail on CSX’s national system: 20 feet high and 13 feet wide.

AWARD-WINNING FOREIGN TRADE ZONE

JAXPORT’s Foreign Trade Zone No. 64, which spans more than 5,000 square miles within Northeast Florida, helps shippers save time and money by streamlining customs clearance.

ROOM TO GROW

Northeast Florida offers more than 120 million square feet of distribution center and warehousing space in close proximity to the port, and at a lower average square foot cost than the region’s closest East Coast competitors.*

INVESTMENT IN THE FUTURE

JAXPORT has invested $600 million in recent infrastructure improvements in everything from cranes to docks to rail and deepening.

LEADER IN LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS

JAXPORT is the only U.S. East Coast port with on-dock LNG fueling capabilities. Four LNG-powered vessels are homeported at JAXPORT and multiple LNG liquefaction and storage facilities are located in and planned for Northeast Florida.

CREATING JOBS AND OPPORTUNITY

Cargo activity through Jacksonville’s seaport positively impacts tens of thousands of jobs and supports nearly $27 billion in annual economic output for the region and state each year.

INVOLVED CORPORATE CITIZEN

JAXPORT supports a variety of community initiatives geared towards educating the transportation and logistics leaders of tomorrow, taking care of those in need in our community, championing environmental stewardship, and ensuring port-related opportunities are available to all.

A PLAN FOR THE FUTURE

The vision of JAXPORT’s Strategic Master Plan is for Northeast Florida to be a principal hub of the nation’s global logistics, trade and transportation network.

Together, we can move your business further.
